So this weekend was another fun filled weekend with a lot of cooking involved. Friday night we stayed in because we were sooo tired from our two previous nights of partying late and getting up early the next day.
So on Friday we made our own white pizza with a Pilsbury pizza crust, a little mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, and some ricotta cheese. It turned out yummy, but very rich!
Saturday night we had a little dinner party at our place. We made Almond Lemon Chicken which we've made before and always turns out fabulous. That recipe was posted by Joy Bowers on AllRecipes.com and can be found here. With that we made Cauliflower Grautin which was AMAZING!!! Most people went back for seconds on that. I got that recipe off FoodNetwork.com and can be found here. I wanted to make something with Cauliflower because it's in season right now so you can find it cheap at the grocery store. For dessert...I made for the first time BREAD PUDDING...it was soooo good! The recipe I got was from The Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PA. Everyone loved it, and it tasted like it was from a 5-star restaurant. I don't have the recipe posted anywhere, and I'm still trying to decide if I want to let it out or not :)
Sunday, we went over a friend's house, and I made a group of about 20 dinner. This time I wanted to be simpler, so I made Chickpea Curry with coconut milk. Everyone gave it rave reviews. I also got that recipe off AllRecipes.com, and here is the recipe. The only thing I didn't add to this recipe was the milk and ketchup, and I also used a can of Lite Coconut milk.
Bon appetit!

My favorite things
Thought I'd tell you about some of the things I'm LOVING lately.
- J.R. Watkins lip balm- you can buy it at Whole Foods. It's amazing stuff and made with all good stuff.
- Aloe Juice- I've been drinking 4 oz. of aloe juice (again purchased at Whole Foods). Aloe is supposed to help your body aborb nutrients better as well as help with any inflamation.
- Pops Cheek Color- Got this at Got Beauty in Sugarhouse. Awesome blush. I barely have to use any and the color is fantastic.

The weekender
I'm VERY much looking forward to the weekend. Tonight I'm going with friends to see a new band and a band I've seen before: Manchester Orchestra and Brand New respectively. Unfortunately, I'll miss out on my husband's big announcement tonight, but I've heard it before, and he can survive without me. I'm not sure what I'm going to wear yet tonight. I'm thinking a simple gray and black T-shirt I bought at Target and some black Levi's jeans. I have my hair straightened at the moment, so I think I'll wash it and make it curly again. The joys of having naturally curly hair! :) Then, tomorrow I have a hair appointment for a desperately needed trim because my hair is styling funky. I keep wanting to dye my hair bright blonde, but I'm nervous because I've never permentaly died my hair myself. I've always had it professionally done, but with the good ol' recession paying for a dye job is just not practical anymore (what has the world come to!) In any case, I'm actually proud of myself for letting my hair grow out to its natural color. I probably haven't need the REAL color since I was 16. Thank goodness I have no gray's because I'd FREAK! Maybe I'll dye it for Vegas next month. Got to look good so I can get into da clubs!
